Small French financiers with white grapes recipe


Here is another version of the recipe for French financiers, these light almond sponge cakes. This variant that Delices and Gourmandises offers you uses white grapes. It will surely please you! The basic of all financiers recipes is the same, but fr this one, poppy seeds and grapes are added before cooking. Don’t wait to try it ; not only is it very easy to make but the ingredients do not cost much. And cherry on top, your guests’ taste buds will be more than delighted!

The necessary ingredients for 4 persons

– 1 bunch of white grapes

financiers– 50 gr of almond powder

– 150 gr of sugar

– 4 egg whites

– 80 gr of butter

– 1 tbsp. of poppy seeds

– 50 gr of flour

The preparation steps

– Preheat oven to 180 ° (th 6).

– Heat the butter over low heat in a small saucepan until it produces a hazelnut-like smell. Turn off the heat and let the butter cool.

– Remove the grapes seeds then rinse and dry them.

– In a bowl, quickly mix the sugar, the almond powder and the egg whites. Sift the flour and add it to the mixture. Then add the butter gradually after melting (remove the white film deposited in the pan).

– Take a silicone molds and pour the dough equally into all of them. Sprinkle with poppy seeds and squeeze half of a grape into each cake. You can now put your preparation in the oven for 12 minutes.

To appreciate the financiers, it is better to let them cool before unmolding them. Serve cold.
