The apple Fondants recipe by Delices and Gourmandises

The apple Fondants from Delices and Gourmandises is known to be filled with apple, its golden brown color and melting taste. This cake is prepared by the best confectioners of France. Ingredients for 6 servings:
– 2 large red apples
– 80 g caster sugar
– 2 tablespoons brown sugar
– 15 ml milk
– 2 eggs
– 100 g salted butter
– 150 g flour
– 1 teaspoon baking powder
– 1 packet vanilla sugar
– 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
– 1 tablespoon lemon juice
– Melted butter to grease

About the method

Peel and core the apples, cut them into pieces. Then soak them in lemon juice.
In a pan, melt 30 g butter; add the apples and fry them for 3 minutes until honey-colored. Sprinkle with brown sugar and let caramelize without losing their firmness. Set aside.
In a bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, sugar and vanilla sugar. Pour the milk and whole eggs. Stir with a hand whisk. Add 30 g melted butter and mix again until well combined.
Brush the bottom and sides of a cake pan with melted butter to grease. Pour in half of the dough and lay out the pieces of apples then pour on the rest of the mixture.
Preheat oven to 200 ° C (Gas 7); and bake for 35 minutes.
When the cake is cooked, mix 40g salted butter with 2 tablespoons of brown sugar and cinnamon. Spread this mixture over the cake right out of the oven. Allow to penetrate before unmolding.

Tasting advice

This apple Fondants is delicious for breakfast accompanied by a cup of coffee. Also, this cake may be served for dessert matched with soft white wine. For the kids, it can be served with custard or some vanilla ice cream. For sure, both young and adult will love this apple Fondants.
